IQRF Standards Association

The IQRF Standards Association is a non-profit organization responsible for the IQRF Communication Standard Specification, royalty-free licensing of the open IQRF Communication Standard, and the IQRF MAC's management. 

The IQRF Communication Standard specifies communication in the IQRF wireless mesh network and enables electronic devices to communicate reliably and securely. Manufacturers can implement the IQRF Communication Standard in their devices under a single royalty-free license.

The IQRF Communication Standard Specification (ICSS) is the essential document defining protocols, rules, and procedures related to the IQRF Communication Standard. The ICSS is available for download after payment of an administration fee. The IQRF Alliance members buy ICSS with a discount.

About IQRF MAC addresses

The IQRF MAC address is a unique identifier of IQRF devices, used for authentication. IQRF Standards Association provides an IQRF MAC address space to manufacturers ensuring devices from different manufacturers do not collide in networks, not even in complex IoT systems built of many different devices working together. The interoperability will then be your real joy.

When you have signed a royalty-free license with the IQRF Standards Association you can buy and commercially use blocks of IQRF MAC addresses. A free block of shared IQRF MAC addresses can be used for testing. Email us for more information.
